E4E: Understanding the Female Body
This course will help you make informed health decisions; recognize what could be abnormal, what’s real, and what is a stereotype; and, most importantly, develop healthier, more informed relationships with your body.
Why is this course relevant?
Understanding the female body should be an ability all women should have; however, there is still an overwhelming stigma around the female reproductive system. Many young people grow up avoiding the topic, not getting clear knowledge of their bodies, which leads to confusion, shame, or delayed medical care in some cases.
Objectives:
- Learn about the function and structure of the female reproductive system
- Understand the menstrual cycle, its phases, and its irregularities
- Dismantle common myths and misconceptions related to menstrual cycles
- Learn about the differences and body rhythm changes between individuals
