Our Story
❊ About Us
What we do:
Evidence for Empowerment is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming women's health through advocacy, education, and scientific research. We raise awareness about menstrual and reproductive conditions like PCOS and Endometriosis, while funding and supporting research aimed at improving diagnosis and treatment. We also expand access to organic feminine hygiene products and OB-GYN care in under-resourced communities through product drives, educational workshops, and partnerships with local clinics and shelters.
Why it matters:
Millions of women live with reproductive health conditions that are understudied, underdiagnosed, and underfunded, especially in marginalized communities. Lack of access to accurate information, stigma around OB-GYN visits, and unaffordable or inaccessible care contribute to persistent health disparities. By combining community outreach, research funding, and education, we aim to close the gap between evidence and action, empowering women to take control of their health.
Meet the Founder
Hi! My name is Helena. I am originally from Poland, but I am determined to make an impact in my new community, Miami, Florida.
When I was 15, I was diagnosed with PCOS, a condition that impacts women worldwide, but like many women, I had no idea what this meant. On top of this, because of the invasive process required to confirm PCOS, I was told that my diagnosis wasn’t certain.
Left with unanswered questions and little accessible information, I began researching women’s health on my own and quickly realized how underfunded, stigmatized, and overlooked it is.
I founded Evidence for Empowerment to change that. Our mission is to expand access to safe, organic menstrual products, increase awareness around reproductive health, and break the stigma surrounding women’s health issues, to make sure no woman is alone.
